Southside Hope is a project being launched to embrace the community, enhance the environment, and enlighten the Spirit of individuals in our surrounding community.

Over the last several years, the area neighborhood has dramatically declined. Home ownership has been replaced by investment property owners, vacant bank-owned properties, and short-term renters. There are abandoned houses throughout the area and property that is occupied, but in need of repair.

Many young families desire the stability of home ownership, but believe buying a home is out of reach. The decrease in home ownership and long-term residency have put the neighborhood in a state of decline. The local public schools have been negatively impacted by the decrease in stable family households.

The Southside Hope Project will help stabilize the neighborhood by increasing opportunities for home ownership, reducing vacant and abandoned properties, and promoting long-term tenants and residency in Far South Columbus. Contact us to learn more.

Southside Hope will partner with local civic associations, government agencies and non-profit organizations to promote long-term residency and sponsor revitalization projects that rehabilitate and preserve affordable, safe homes and rentals for families, senior citizens and veterans.

Free educational workshops on home buying, tenant's rights and responsibilities, and available housing assistance programs are being planned.
